Hero Coatings specializes in manufacturing solvent-based adhesives. We offer both standard and custom-made products formulated to solve specific industrial bonding problems. Among the major products are pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA), heat-sealable adhesives and combining cements. Toll manufacturing is also available.

Pressure Sensitive Adhesives

Our pressure sensitive products are all solvent-based natural and synthetic rubber adhesives. We normally work with hexane, heptane and toluene. The adhesives are typically applied by knife-over-roll coating directly onto the substrate or by transfer coating after application to liner paper. Heat Seal Adhesives

Our heat seal coatingss are all solvent based synthetic rubber adhesives which are dry-to-the-touch at room temperature (i.e., non-blocking). Reactivation temperatures are relatively low, typically around 200° F., and so are particularly useful where high production speeds are desirable and where elevated temperature resistance is not a requirement.

The adhesives are typically applied by knife-over-roll coating directly onto the substrate or by transfer coating after application to liner paper or web. Some of our standard products are described in the Products section.
